Key Stage 4

Our Key Stage 4 curriculum is designed to enable every pupil to discern their vocation and to be well-equipped to follow it as active citizens in service to the world. We incorporate the British Values of Democracy, the Rule of Law, Mutual Respect, Individual Liberty and foster a community in which different faiths and beliefs are respected.

GCSE options are chosen during Year 9 and begin in Y10.  Students study the compulsory GCSE subjects of English Language, English Literature, Maths, Science.  All students also study GCSEs in Religious Studies and at least one foreign language, reflecting the inclusive ethos of the school and the global community of Notre Dame Schools and universities around the world.

Students select several 'preference' GCSE subjects.

Students continue their studies of PSHEE as a non examined subject.

PE can be studied as a GCSE or as a non examined subject.
