The Benjamin Foundation Specialist Short Breaks, offer opportunities for children with needs and disabilities to make friends, try new activities, have fun in a safe environment. We offer sessions throughout the year, whether on a Saturday or in the school holidays.
Year 11 and 6th Form students join our teams as Support Workers; one has now gone to University to do a SEND degree as a result of discovering a passion for SEND while working with us. This work does not interfere with schoolwork as it is either on Saturdays or in school holidays. It is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in childcare/social care/sport/etc to work with amazing children, learn about disabilities and needs and grow in confidence in a very supportive work environment.
