Opportunity for Students: Earlham Institute Work Experience Programme 2026

The Earlham Institute, based on the Norwich Research Park, is a world‑leading research institute specialising in genomics, bioinformatics, and advanced life science technologies. We are hosting a two‑week Work Experience Programme in the first two weeks of the school summer holidays designed to give young people a meaningful, hands‑on introduction to scientific research and the wide range of careers within STEM.
📅 2026 Work Experience Programme
Dates: Monday 20 July – Friday 31 July 2026
Time: 09:30–16:00 each day
Eligibility: Students in Years 10–13
Application deadline: 30 April 2026
During the programme, students will:
- Work alongside researchers on a dedicated research project
- Gain hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge technologies used at EI
- Develop communication and scientific writing skills
- Explore a broad range of STEM career pathways
- Take part in developmental activities designed to build confidence and future‑career awareness
