Drama and Theatre

Why study Drama?

The course demands practical, communication skills and the ability to create drama and theatre in a performing or production role.  Students will be required to write about drama, to develop their powers of analysis and become informed critics.

The course will involve devising and taking part in a drama productions as well as study plays and drama practitioners.

Students need to be curious about issues and ideas and have a creative instinct for communicating their views through drama.  They may be keen acting, writing or the visual and technical side of theatre.  An interest in live theatre performance and playwrights is important.
