Details regarding the Open Evening and closing deadline for applications will be added shortly.

You can contact us on sixthform@ndhs.org.uk if you have any questions or would like to make any changes to your subject choices.

    FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions.

Q  Do I need to be a Catholic?

A  No, only a third of our Sixth Form is Catholic.

Q  Will I have an interview?

A  No, offers are made on predicted grades.

Q  If I opt for a subject and change my mind after I have submitted what do I do?

A  Contact sixthform@ndhs.org.uk and we will make any changes for you to your subject  choices or, if you have had a recent review and your predicted grades have changed.

Q  When is the taster day?

A  Due to the large number of applicants, we host two separate taster days - the dates for these will be supplied shortly. Please check your email to see on which date you have been invited to attend.

Q  My combination of subjects does not fit in with the blocking. What do I do?

A  Please email us with the clashes if you have not already done so.  The blocking is pretty firm but if we get 10 or more students asking for the same combination we will do our best to come up with a solution.

Q  When will I hear if I have been offered a place?

A  All letters will go out mid-January with further explanation of the process.

Q  Will I be following an AS or A Level programme?

A  Our programmes are all A Level.  Some legacy specifications may still require you to sit AS but this is not an important factor that influences your Yr13 place.

    Careers and Higher Education

Those considering, even remotely, a university or further education application should discover the AS and A2 Level requirements for courses for which they might later apply. Requirements vary a good deal, but it is possible to produce a short-list. UCAS has an excellent website https://www.ucas.com/  listing all UK HE courses and their entrance requirements. The website www.russellgroup.ac.uk/informed-choices.aspx provides valuable information about the specific A level subjects required for HE courses and should be visited before students select their A level subjects.
