    World Book Day

A magical day was had by all at Notre Dame High School's World Book Day. The theme this year was fantasy, with the Year 7, 12 & 13s wearing fantastic fantastical costumes from the worlds of Narnia, Middle Earth and Wonderland. This year, the staff entered the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the students were all entranced by the magical costumes across the departments. Specials mentions go to Bellatrix Lestrange scaring students in the English corridor, a very tall Dobby in Science and the school being led by our very own Albus Dumbledore.

As well as brilliant costumes, there were also numerous activities throughout the day, all with the aim of promoting the wonderful world of reading. These included a booktastic quiz in the library, a sponsored read for Years 7 & 8 and a 'Story in a Day' being told throughout all lessons.

Overall, it was lovely to see students and staff of all ages getting excited about books and discussing what they had seen, heard or read. So, with that, it's Expelliarmus to this year, as we already look forward to the next!
